Superintendent's Page

It is an honor, privilege, and blessing to serve as superintendent of Rush City Public Schools. Our school district is committed to providing a learning environment which challenges, inspires, nurtures, and prepares our young people to compete for scholarships, employment, and other opportunities this world has to offer. Will CampbellOur commitment starts in our early childhood environments for our youngest learners through the opportunities we offer to our high school students. In our elementary school PBIS helps us to be more intentional and specific about acknowledging good behaviors and students with our R.O.A.R.. Literacy is a focus where we offer monthly reading challenges for the students and staff.

At our high school, we offer 1:1 Chromebook learning to give our students access to explore many possibilities.  We support a variety of athletic and arts-related opportunities for our young people throughout the school year. We offer over over 15 different athletic and Fine Arts opportunities for our students. Due to the deep level of commitment from our community, our students, in most cases, don’t have to pay any athletic fees  Research shows that students who are involved in extracurricular and athletic events stay connected to their school community and are less likely to get distracted from school work.

Our graduating seniors are also offered the Fransen Family Foundation Scholarship. This scholarship will cover all fees associated with enrollment, registration, books and other related expenses to Pine Technical and Community College and other surrounding technical schools in Minnesota and Wisconsin.

We also have a dedicated teaching staff who seek opportunities to refine instructional practices, provide quality instruction, and accelerate learning to meet the varied and diverse needs of our students.

We have a dedicated custodial staff, food service staff, school level and district office support and others who make it a priority to provide quality customer service to our students, parents, and other members of our school community.

We look forward to continuing opportunities to partner with our community to make Rush City the place to be. Please let us know how we can assist you in any way.

Go Tigers!
