Early Morning Walking at Rush City High School

Jumpstart your day with a refreshing morning walk indoors! Did you know a morning walk not only supports physical health but also boosts mental well-being? It's a gentle exercise that promotes focus, supports healthy blood pressure, and keeps you fit. Enjoy the high school halls without worrying about weather or slippery sidewalks. Bring a friend, and let’s walk together!

Details for Early Morning Walking: The Rush City Community Education program invites you to walk inside Rush City High School before classes begin. Walkers are welcome Monday through Friday starting at 6:30 am, with all participants checked out by 7:45 am.

Guidelines for Walkers: To join, stop by the high school office during regular hours (7:30 am – 3:30 pm) to complete a one-time check-in through our Hall Pass system. After your check-in, you’ll receive a walking badge to wear each time you visit. Here’s what you need to know:

  • Parking & Entrance: Park in the red zone at the back of the school and enter/exit through Door #4 (see map for details).
  • Sign-In & Sign-Out: Each morning, sign in upon arrival. If you finish walking before 7:30 am, sign out on the sheet provided. Walkers leaving after 7:30 am should sign out with a staff member at the office.

Embrace the benefits of early morning walking, and let’s make fitness a community effort!
