Correction: Makeup Day Scheduled for Friday, February 28, 2025

Dear Rush City Schools Community,

We want to clarify a recent communication error and provide the correct information regarding an important school calendar update.

The School Board has approved Friday, February 28, 2025, as a makeup day for the day off on November 7, 2024, in support of our volleyball team.

We understand some families may already have commitments or plans for this date. If this applies to you, please note that we will excuse absences with parental approval. Our goal is to remain flexible and accommodating as we implement this adjustment.

Thank you for your understanding and ongoing support of Rush City Schools and our students. If you have any questions or concerns, please contact your school office:

Turkey Bingo benefits the Rush City Pool

The Rush City Pool Committee held “Turkey Bingo” at Chucker’s Bowl and Lounge in Rush City November 24th.   The proceeds from this event will go to the Rush City Aquatic Center to help purchase tables and chairs.  Jacob Bohler and Owen Clifford were the bike winners.  A total of $1,993 was raised for the pool; $126.50 and 326 pounds of food were collected and donated to the Rush City Food Shelf.  In addition to the two bikes given away, 40 other prizes were awarded.  These prizes were day pool passes,  turkeys, pies, gift packages and candy.  The pool committee is very appreciative of the community support for this event.  They are also grateful to the Thrivent organization for donating the turkeys, Rush City Bakery for donating pies, Clean Haven for donating 10 gift packages  and Chuckers for donating the space for this event.
