Payroll/Human Resources Specialist
Rush City Schools is seeking a full time, 12-month Payroll/Human Resources Specialist. This position provides support and assistance to the Business Manager in the administration of the school districts payroll functions and related activities. Details of the primary duties are processing of payroll, data entries, payroll liabilities, and reporting. This position will assist with the administration of all benefits and retirement programs, including medical, dental, vision, long term disability, TRA/PERA and 403(b) plans. The Payroll/HR Specialist will serve as a resource for staff while ensuring payroll actions and activities follow all applicable policies, state and federal laws or regulations, and labor agreements. Other duties of a similar nature may also be assigned. Candidates must have excellent organization, written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to fulfill Rush City Schools mission statement. Salary is based upon experience/qualifications. Aquatic Center Workers - Summer 2021
Lifeguards:
If you enjoy working with kids of all ages, this is the job for you! Shifts are 6.5 hours a day. Must be Red Cross Certified before able to lifeguard.

Water Safety Instructor:
We are currently hiring Water Safety Instructors to teach various levels of swimming lessons during June, July and August.

Concession Workers:
Must be 16 years of age or older. Duties consist of selling admissions, working concessions, supervising locker rooms and cleaning and sanitizing as needed.

Bus Driver
We offer a competitive salary, additional compensation for extra trips, and benefits to our drivers. We have two positions to fill starting in August 2021. Both positions are for an AM and PM route with an approximate total of 3 hours per day during the school year. Willingness to work as a team player and pick up extra trips is important. Valid MN or WI driver's license with clean driving record is necessary. CDL with school bus endorsement is preferred, but will train the ideal candidates. Interventionist
CE Jacobson Elementary School is seeking an Interventionist with a focus on math for the 2021-2022 school year. The purpose is to provide instruction to assist students who need additional academic support to succeed in the general education environment. This position is part of our Multi-Tiered Systems of Support to provide evidence-based academic interventions. Experience with Bridges is preferred. The ability to handle data accurately and efficiently is a must. This position will present outcomes monthly to all stakeholder groups. This position will provide academic interventions for students in grades K-6 who are identified as high risk. Requirements include at least a high school diploma, with elementary education licensure preferred. Maintenance Custodian
This is a full-time, 12-month position. Typical hours are 6:30am-3:00pm M-F. Those hours can change, including required overtime, based upon the need of the district as assigned by the supervisor. This person will be primarily responsible for the high school but will be expected to assist in other buildings as directed by their supervisor. Some of the duties will include maintaining HVAC, supply ordering, custodial duties, maintaining quality standards, and minor repairs around the buildings. Position requires a valid boilers license and MN Driver's License, and the ability to use all custodial and grounds maintenance equipment. Preference given to candidates with experience operating and maintaining HVAC systems, safe use of cleaning chemicals, fire and security systems, general electrical and plumbing maintenance. Special Education Teacher

This is a full-time position at the High School to start the 2021-2022 school year. The Special Education Teacher is responsible for creating a program and learning environment that provides specialized instruction for students with unique needs, such that the students benefit from the general education curriculum to the greatest extent possible. Special Education Teachers provide instruction to assigned students implementing IEPs, and prepare academic materials for students following approved curriculum. Special education case management includes preparation of IEPs, reports, assessment, and leading IEP team meetings. Experience with PBIS will be given preference. Special Education Licensure through MDE required. Any special education licensure is encouraged to apply, strong consideration will be given to those with SLD, EBD or ABS licensure. Paraprofessional Substitute - Special Education

Substitute Teachers

We are currently seeking substitute teachers to have on call. A short-call substitute licensure is required and can be obtained through the Minnesota Department of Education. To obtain a short-call substitute license the candidate must hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Minnesota candidates that have completed student teaching through a teacher preparation program, but do not yet have a bachelor’s degree awarded may apply for this license. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a candidate may evidence five years of work experience, an associate’s degree, OR a professional certification from an approved certifying organization that is directly aligned to a Career and Technical (CTE) or Career Pathways licensure field. Interested candidates who possess the short-call substitute license should complete the online application and upload cover letter, resume, letters of recommendation, transcripts, and complete set of credentials.
