A Small School District Surrounded by a Big Hearted Community

We are so fortunate to be able to offer the young people we serve a world of learning opportunities!  Beginning with our purpose-built Early Childhood environments for our youngest students, all the way to the newly implemented 1:1 Chrome book learning initiative at our High School, we are focused on ensuring each student reaches his or her full potential.  Options for concurrent college courses continue to expand, foundational skill development is solid, performing and visual arts are strongly supported, our sports teams compete on some of the most amazing fields and courts, and we enjoy extremely high levels of student participation.

Closure of Rush City Aquatic Center for 2020 Season

On Tuesday, May 12th, the Rush City School Board voted to close the Rush City Aquatic Center for the summer of 2020. This tough decision was driven by operational obstacles, guidance obtained from the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). The ability to comply with proper social distancing and additional safety recommendations would be extremely difficult and prohibits the Rush City School District and City of Rush City from ensuring the safety of our guests and our staff.

We know how much the community and surrounding area values the Rush City Aquatic Center, and this decision to close comes only after exhausting every effort. This closure includes the park for daily attendance along with all classes, birthday parties, and private rentals.

Season pass holders will automatically be provided a full refund. The Rush City Aquatic Center plans to reopen in 2021.
