Bus Driver
This position is for both an AM and PM route with an approximate total of 3 hours per day during the school year. Willingness to work as a team player and pick up extra trips is important. Valid MN or WI driver's license with clean driving record is necessary. CDL with school bus endorsement is preferred, but will train the ideal candidates. Special Education Teacher
This is a .5 position at Rush City High School. The Special Education Teacher is responsible for creating a program and learning environment that provides specialized instruction for students with unique needs, such that the students benefit from the general education curriculum to the greatest extent possible. Special Education Teachers provide instruction to assigned students implementing IEPs, and prepare academic materials for students following approved curricula. Special education case management includes preparation of IEPs, reports, assessment, and leading IEP team meetings. Experience with PBIS will be given preference. Special Education Licensure through MDE required. Any special education licensure is encouraged to apply, strong consideration will be given to those with SLD, EBD or ABS licensure. ADSIS Behavior Coordinator
This is a .5 part-time position at Rush City High School. Must have ability to work with students experiencing academic and/or behavioral challenges.  Must have a high school diploma, college degree preferred. Duties Include:
  • Work with teachers, intervention teams, school personnel, families, students, and other agencies to support student success
  • Determine appropriate interventions for students
  • Implement intervention with fidelity
  • Adjust intervention in response to student data
  • determine students eligible for services
  • Monitor eligibility for exit
  • Other duties as assigned per ADSIS guidelines
Special Education Paraprofessional

This position will be working with students in elementary grades. The skills necessary include confidentiality, patience, good communication/interpersonal skills, flexibility, and teamwork. Two-year degree or 60 college credits or ParaPro test; experience and ability to work with students; desire to work with students who have special needs; ability to follow and carry out the classroom teacher’s instructions; familiarity with computer use and good communication skills. Schedule will depend on the learning scenario. Paraprofessional Substitute - Special Education

Substitute Teachers

We are currently seeking substitute teachers to have on call. A short-call substitute licensure is required and can be obtained through the Minnesota Department of Education. To obtain a short-call substitute license the candidate must hold a minimum of a bachelor’s degree. Minnesota candidates that have completed student teaching through a teacher preparation program, but do not yet have a bachelor’s degree awarded may apply for this license. In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, a candidate may evidence five years of work experience, an associate’s degree, OR a professional certification from an approved certifying organization that is directly aligned to a Career and Technical (CTE) or Career Pathways licensure field. Interested candidates who possess the short-call substitute license should complete the online application and upload cover letter, resume, letters of recommendation, transcripts, and complete set of credentials.

This position will be responsible for providing leadership, supervision, and coaching instruction for our High School Activities Programs. Qualifications include ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, demonstrate professionalism, foster a positive environment, and have working knowledge of program regulations.
