When I stepped into the role of superintendent this summer, my primary goal was to ensure our district framework rests on careful planning, open two-way communication, and continuous improvement. Over the past several weeks, it has been an absolute privilege to host listening tours and crowdsource priorities from every corner of our community, engaging directly with students, staff, families, local business leaders, and local officials.
As we approach the end of October and wrap up this initial 100-day window, our team will begin to synthesize all of the invaluable feedback we have received into a comprehensive Summary Report to share with the entire community. This report will serve as our launchpad into Phase II: "Reflect." During this next stage, we will take an honest, thorough look at our systems and data through district-wide Comprehensive Needs Assessments, ensuring our future decisions, resources, and Strategic Plan directly reflect the vision and expectations of Rush City residents.
While our official 100-day listening tour is nearing its conclusion, our commitment to listening will never stop. Through interconnected structures like our "Linked Teams" and interactive tools such as ThoughtExchange and Edlio messaging, we will continue to ensure that every voice matters and directly informs governance on the ground.
Thank you for your warm welcome, your honest conversations, and your dedicated support of our schools. Let’s bring that incredible Tiger Pride into next week’s Homecoming celebrations and continue walking this path of excellence together!
Go Tigers!
