Big Splash

The 2025 Big Splash at the Rush City Pool was a great success. Approximately 300 people attended and $3,629 was raised.  The money will be used to buy an additional funbrella and guard chair. This year the pool committee was able to purchase a lifeguard chair, two basketball hoops, lounge chairs, a new funbrella and concession tables.  Also a new drop slide was installed from funds donated by the Ev and John Erickson estate.

 

The winners of the Lucky Duck Race were:

1st Place - Amy Mell

2nd Place - Tyler Frie

3rd Place - Barb Westman

4th Place - Jerome Siljendahl

5th Place - Sue Johnson

 

The pool committee wishes to thank the 76 volunteers and the pool staff who worked the Big Splash.  A special thank you to Clean Haven Naturals, Maytag Laundry, McDonald Distributing Company and Thrivent that donated prizes, cash and advertising for this event.  The committee is also very grateful to the community for their support through purchases of Lucky Duck tickets, donations of baked goods, finances, time or participation at the Big Splash.

 

The pool is a huge asset to our city and the committee is very appreciative of the community support.  Thank you!
