The Rush City School District expresses its sincere gratitude to departing board member Rory Roth following his resignation. Board Member Appointment Process
With this vacancy on the board, Rush City Public Schools are moving forward with a process for appointing a board member for the remainder of the term, which ends on Dec. 31, 2028.
Important Dates
• Application End Date: Sept. 25, 2026, 3:30pm
• Application Review Date: Sept. 28, 2026
• Interviews will be scheduled between Sept. 29 - Oct. 7. Candidates must be available in person
• The School Board will appoint the new member at their scheduled meeting on Oct. 8, 2026
Requirements to Hold Office
• At least 21 years of age
• U.S. Citizen and eligible to vote
• Resident of School District #139 for at least 30 days
• No record of criminal sexual misconduct for which registration is required
